I still think they are just getting Powell minutes, while the starting center is injured, so they can see what he’s got left. They still have a lot of money invested in him. They don’t have any data on post injury Powell. Last year’s data says he was good. I have a feeling it’s not going to be the same.

I don't think he was that good last year before his injury and thought the Mavs played their best ball of the season after adjusting for him being gone.

Agree that they played their best ball when they moved Porzingis to center. Which is why I think they will keep him there when he returns, and Powell goes to the bench.
