Cool stuff, thanks! I like the color groupings. Might be cool to have attempts included, too. Brunson’s percentages are WAY higher than I would’ve guessed.

It's easy to forget that Bey shot 42% from three last year. He wasn't just a brute force defender and PAC-10 Defensive player of the year.

Also Terry shot 41%

Green shot 36% but Wildcats had a big shift in strategy in January. Once he settled in, Green shot 47% from three in the last two months of the season (Feb/March)

Those are some rookies who can shoot.

I read that Ty Terry shot 48% (some websites say 50%) on catch and shoot 3s. He has NBA range. I like our 3 Rookies. Hopefully, Rick can try to develop them a bit this year, and get them some PT. Although the team is blessed with a lot more talent than last year at the wings.

Looks like 41% overall and 48% on catch-and-shoot

DFS is kind of the surprise there to me.
That guy has come a long way.
Hoping they’ll have the same patience with Bey.

He takes the step back 3s and other questionable 3s so it opens up the drive. He's keeping the spacing as much as possible. Sure he would like to have them all fall but what he's doing is very calculated.

The logic doesn't add up. If you want to keep the defense honest, take regular 3 point shots.

Yeah he has to take threes to get his defender up on him which gives him the advantage in the drive.

He needs to take those threes.

I just think the next step for him would be to get to 35-40% on them.

It sure does add up. His step back is effective enough so that defenders have to scramble to get out on him. When he has that level of unpredictability, they lunge forward or get their feet together to contest and he's gone past them. The problem for defenders is that once he gets around, he keeps them on his hip and worst case scenario is a floater in the lane. I'm perfectly fine with him taking step backs in the natural flow of the game.

The only time I do not want him taking them is most late game situations, and especially from laziness. Now if it's tied and you have last shot in a situation like vs LA in game 4(?) then that's more acceptable.

We were actually down by 1 at that point and a missed shot loses the game but I get your point.

The Mavericks need to hit a few more threes
Last season Tim Hardaway Jr., Maxi Kleber, Dorian Finney-Smith and Luka Doncic shot 40, 37, 38 and 32 percent from three respectively. This season those same players are shooting 31, 33, 25 and 18(!!) percent respectively. That simply won’t get it done and when factoring in lack of rebounding results in blowouts like Christmas day’s game against the Lakers. I can’t honestly say it will get better because those players all shot at career-best marks last season.

Doncic is the only real surprise there. Guy should be at least 30-35% to be effective, but has climbed after falling below 10% early in the season. Johnson and Richardson should improve as they get more comfortable. Burke, Kleber, and THJ are absolutely smoking hot. I don't expect a full season of that, but maybe. Both THJ and Burke shot 40%+ last year.
