Because Rick is just f*cking weird with his rotations. He's a HOF coach obviously, but I think his rotations have always been the turd in the punch bowl. He just has some guys that he loves and some guys he doesn't. It was true in 2009, it's true today.

I'm seriously worried that Rick will just keep starting Powell the entire season no matter how terrible he is. I'm sort of resigned to it.

Powell was obviously going to be given a chance to start the season. It’s the first game. Not sure why you guys excepted otherwise. I’d start Maxi over WCS, anyway.

As bad as they've played and to only be down 5 points with about a minute to go in the half is pretty amazing. If Hardaway could make both FTs sometime soon that would be great.

With no KP and Luka playing like ass, yeah, we should be down by 20 or more. But luckily the Suns have been pretty awful too.

I would shocked if KP isn’t the starting center, when he comes back. I’m guessing Maxi is coming off the bench, because Carlisle wants him to stay in his normal role with KP playing. I’ll only be concerned if Powell takes minutes from Johnson when KP comes back.

Suns made lots of mistakes

Take luka off this roster and this team give knicks competition for worst in lg.

Just a off night but man open night dud really sucks air of beginning of season and the upcoming schedule does us no favors either.

Just gonna have to eat the shit sandwich and hope LUKA gets back in shape quickly and players start earning their minutes and get some player development going
