See Brunson is good when he gets to ball hog it all game, but he needs to be more effective with lesser minutes.

I know VC is in Atlanta to help out with these young guys, but damn he deserves better... Nice to see him and Rick show a bit of love, hope RC told him we're trading for him at the deadline. Come teach a young team that can actually learn something.

Those last 2 shots by wcs are the kind of thing that will get him into trouble with RC tbh

Damn, I'm getting old. I remember when Vince was a rookie. What an awesome talent. I've always liked the guy. Then again, I also remember running into Sam Perkins at the Basement back in the 80's when I was in college. LOL

From what I've been reading, he started liking his mid-range jump shot in Sacramento and that's a part of why they let him go.

What's the difference between those two mid range shots wide open compared to wide open dwight Powell 3 point shots?

Rick should be patient especially when the dude has like 4 or 5 blocks on the other end of the floor.

I'm okay with 1 or 2 of those a game, but I think he'd be better pump faking and then euro-stepping to the rim, if he can get the defender to bite.

Seriously though, nice to see WCS get these minutes. Too many? Yeah, but out of necessity due to KP being out, so it's good to cut him some slack. He's been very effective and has definitely had a very positive impact.

With a big lead like this, it would be nice if the mavs would work inside a bit to slow the game down and get some closer shots at the rim. They can trade solid 2 attempts deep into the shot clock with quick 3's at this point in the game imo.

Gawd, the Hawks suck... How do you lose to a team that's missing 3 starters, including their best 2 players?? Trae was a ghost out there. Just pathetic.

I've never really watched Trae play, but after seeing this game, the thought of him being in the ASG, much less starting, makes me LOL.

Edit: that was a nice trick shot he made from behind the backboard.

I know it was the Hawks, but it's nice to see our boys figure out how to win without Luka & KP.

Well, for all of those clamoring for bigger lineups and WCS...you got it. And it worked.

And I'm kinda glad Barea didn't play so no super small ball.

Really? One is worth 2 and one is worth 3.

WCS from 3-10 ft. -.359 x 2 = .718
10-16ft. -.336 x 2 = .672
Powell from 3 -.293 x 3 = .879

None of them are great shots, but shots they have to take when open. I donít think WCS gets benched over them.

Win #500 for Rick Carlisle, and he got it without Luka or Porzingis... Great team effort tonight.
