Default GDT Game 81 - Mavs (24-56) @ Sixers (49-30) 12:00pm NBATV/FSSW

Losing this game would lock us into a top-5 finish and give us a 96.6% chance of getting a top-7 pick even if the lotto balls conspire against us... Which is a MUST in what's considered to be a 7-player draft (Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, JJJ, MPJ, Bamba, Bridges)... Sixers still battling with Cleveland for the #3 seed, so they need this win as bad as we need this loss... Let's get this damned season over with already!

Yeah, at this point I'm happy to be in the top 7. It's exciting to ponder who the Mavs will pick.

But Mr. Motley might have something to say about this game...

Motley has more than held his own vs his last two oppo ents. I think he will do the same against one of the most difficult centers in the game

Love DSJ, but he complains way too much about calls/ non-calls. The refs suck kid, you'll just have to accept it.

No he doesn't -- he just started doing it recently because he's pretty much leading the league in "points scored in the paint without trips to the FT line". He's doing exactly what you have to do, short of flopping like a bitch. If he keeps his mouth shut then he's going to continue to get shafted.

Odd stat: 18 different players have seen the floor in this game, all of them have scored.

Hes been very quiet on the court all season. And his drives to the basket stats show he should be getting to the line more.

Loving the activity from Powell. Really good season from him when I had counted him out.

His defensive rotations have improved dramatically. He has become much more physical as well.

Most improved player on the Mavs roster this season, I'd say he's finally earning his paycheck.

And Atlanta just beat Boston... Mavs currently tied at #3.

DSJ with a pretty good game today... 20 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Yeah, we should all feel pretty good about the draft now. Tied with Atlanta for 3rd worst record.

Motley with a lesser game. One thing he is not is a help side shot blocker. Still see him as the backup/third string center next season. Way too much talent not to get minutes.

Didnt think we'd be here right now. Figured we'd land 6-7 at the end of the season. Crazy to think we have an outside shot at a top 3 pick. Ill be happy with whatever pick the Mavs get, but hopefully this is the last of the race to the bottom for this team for a long time.

As long as we land a top 5 pick. Ayton-Doncic-Bagley-Porter-JJJ. I'll be happy with any of them.

That's still up to the lottery, but we are guaranteed to finish the season with a 5th-worst record.

Of course the lottery is going to give us the #1 overall. Tankathon told me so. On the 3rd try.

I thought looked pretty good. He has really good size for a PG and tried to be aggressive. He made things happen both good and bad. I think his problem is that he hasn't had significant playing time this year so that negates any definitive criticism.

I'm really hyped that we ended up as high in the draft as we are. Now that it's pretty much set, I'd like to be greedy and get a really nice ping pong ball so that the MBT has a harder choice to make.
