There's a big difference between standing up for a belief and tearing apart your country over one...
You're talking about a civil war... You're talking about KILLING your fellow countrymen because you don't agree with their opinions...

EDIT: oh, and don't give me this crap about "freedom" - the Patriot Act stripped more freedoms from the American People than any other single act in the history of our country and I certainly don't hear you speaking ill about the Republican Party over that one...
