yeah, I think "racist" in practical terms is best defined as "politically expediant perjorative hurled by Left Liberals at their political enemies". Beyond that I can't see how it's being used in any meaningful manner.

(Obama's approval rating has dropped from, what?, about 70% to below 50%...Does this mean that 20% of the country has donned white robes and started burning crosses in the past few months?)
