Well of course he's going to say that, but to me it comes down to is Gooden/Damp better than Diop/Damp from then. That's not an automatic "yes" because both Damp and Diop played well that season and Damp is older.

And even if we are slightly better it doesn't matter because teams around the league have gotten better since then. (Lakers, Celtics, Spurs etc..) It doesn't automatically make us champs because we're better than the 06 runner-ups.
