Yeah, but any team that signed him would've had to pay him $9mil for the 09-10 season (or half that at the trade deadline) - nobody seeking cap relief is giving him that kind of money just so they can waive him a year later. That's why the "DUST
(Dampier ULTIMATE Sign-n-Trade) Chip" can't technically exist until this summer...
