Oh c'mon Chum, we've needed a player like this forever. If not the entire Dirk era, then at the very least since Michael Finley's last season here. Think about all the scrubs we've had at that position in the last 5 years. (Seriously, think about it.) Doug Christie, Adrian Griffin, Greg Buckner, Eddie Jones, Mo Ager, Gerald Green, Antoine Wright, Trenton Hassell, Quinton Ross... Not ONE of these guys could hit an open jumpshot, and except for maybe Ross none of them were anything special defensively either. Just one spare after another at that position, and last year I would've put Stevenson on the same list.
I would've killed to have him on this team in 2006-2007. He's been what I hoped Doug Christie and Eddie Jones would be. A guy who defend the other team's best wingman and hit an open 3. Basically, a guy who can be for us what Bowen was to the Spurs.
