Billups would surely be a plus in scoring coming off the bench behind Kidd. Kidds shot was off the entire season even with Dirk in the lineup. So it seems more and more probable that age cought up on him and his 40%+-days with the Mavs are over. Stevenson has really jumped in, but with Terry/Roddy or a possible trade addition on the roster he will be a role player again sooner or later. Our two PGs shoot 36.5% and 26.2% on 3s. That just won't do it.
