Golden State will need to make some changes before the upcoming NBA season, as the team is loaded at the guard position, and there is not enough minutes to go around. The Warriors tried to trade Monta Ellis just before the draft, but the team never pulled the trigger on a deal, and that's leading to speculation of Stephen Curry being traded instead.

The latest rumor has Curry and center Andris Biedrins being sent to the Dallas Mavericks and the Warriors receiving Caron Butler and Rodrigue Beaubois.

Dallas needs a young point guard as Jason Kidd and Jason Terry are both in the twilight of their careers. Biedrins has failed to live up to his early career, and a change of scenery could be the answer. Butler would give the Warriors some much-needed scoring from the forward position and a veteran with plenty of playoff experience. Beaubois would also give Golden State some depth on the bench and a good fill-in when needed at point guard.

Both teams could benefit from this deal, and the Warriors need some experience as they try to move into a playoff contending team. Dallas won the NBA title last season, but with the age of the team, youth is needed if they want to stay in contention in the upcoming years.
