I used to feel the same way you did Dooby until I realized how much money colleges make off of their scholarship athletes for football and basketball. This isn't volleyball or swimming - there is serious money going to the school in the form of TV money. The school makes money, the coaches and ADs have large salaries, and the TV networks make money. But the athlete has to remain "pure" and poor.
