Dirk is a 7 footer with two bad ankles. Either you flop when you get pushed, or you end up like Yao Ming.

Losing balance in those situations is simply a method to absorb energy and protect your legs. One should not copmare it to Harden, Paul and co. What they do is (theatralical) flopping
