His first few games will be forgotten soon, as will his bad ones that will come soon, bottom line is how the numbers end and how he plays in a team concept over the course of 82 games. Not how consistent he is, extremely streaky players are as valuable as consistent guys if they end with same numbers and team value. My biggest key for Mayo is his efficiency. His first 2 years in Memphis were very respectable (53.9% TS and 55.1 % TS). If he can have a TS% over 55 % while bringing good volume scoring which I am sure he will he will be in line for a good deal and be helping the Mavs a lot.
