I hate to keep using this quote, but it almost always rings true in the NBA...
"The difference between good and bad teams is that good teams win close games."
I've never taken much solace in keeping it close against good teams. Good efforts mean squat when the season keeps getting dumped down the toilet. At the end of the day there is still more bad than good.
