I get your point, but no, the two situations are nowhere near identical. If you are 1 back with 5 or 6 to go, you need to pick up a game over such a span one time. If you are 7 or 8 back, you need to pick that same game up every single time. It's a huge difference.

That said, though, I agree that they aren't anywhere close to being out of it.
