IMO, the bottom of the Mavs roster has pretty low bar for cracking. There is a lot of players sitting on that bar including Crowder who not all that highly paid. Using a boxing analogy, Melo and Ebanks will probably have to deliver a clear knockout to steal a roster spot but it keeps the players on the low bar looking over their shoulder.
IMO, Ebanks probably has a bit more upside than Corwder but has probably stunted his development by leaving college early whereas Crowder stayed. I see Crowder more at the top of the 10-15 range battling Ellington for Devin's minutes until Devin returns. I can also see Melo battiling Sarge and Blair for a spot but coming up short.
