Immediate answer: of course they'd still win, they beat the best team in the West.

thought-out answer: maybe? There has been a lot more research out there about how the path to the finals is as important as who you face in the finals. Teams that breeze into the finals are much more likely to win the championship. Further, there are 4-5 teams that could potentially even have knocked the Heat out of the playoffs in the West. I don't think it's a sure thing that as a western team, they wouldn't have won, but it would have been a lot harder.
