I think the best path for Parson's to become a star is defense. And he really does have the potential to be a very good defender. In this highlight video (12:36) you can see that he can play some really solid defense.

Lawl at Harden in half of those plays. So awful. Just standing there watching his man blow by or not even trying to go for the rebound.

Still ,Parsons is capable when he puts in the effort, which is nice. Rick will polish up the team defense, but it's nice to know that Parsons can also put it into overdrive for the last 4-5 plays if called on to do so.

Also love that when he gets the ball outside, he does a nice job of reading the defense. When it's there, he totally drives it in. He doesn't have ridiculous speed, but he reads the defense well and uses diagonal slashes/change-ups to get what he wants. We need that. It'll scramble defenses and get us a better shot. We don't need a spot-up three every time.

Mostly I'm just impressed with his passing. There were some laser passes there. So excited to see what he can do playing with Dirk, Ellis, and Chandler.
