Disagree... "Bench player" is a title, and Rick Carlisle doesn't believe in titles - Dirk would be a 20 MPG starter.

And I absolutely think Dirk would be fine with a limited role if he believed this team had a legit shot at another NBA title... It's not like Team Germany is going anywhere with Old Man Dirk at the helm. Maybe he takes a coaching job with them in the future, but his best chance to add anything significant to his legacy as a player is right here in Dallas.
