I think we overpaid slightly for Matthews, which is fine... I'm guessing there were about 10 other teams ready to pay him $13-14M in a heartbeat last season. And when you look at an $89M cap, having those three guys on the books for about $25M is really good value.
Can you imagine what JJB would get in the open market this summer if he was a free agent after that midseason tear he went on?
