Despite all the hype for Luka we shouldn't forget that DSJ was the pick that officially started the rebuild and youth movement for us. The last one we were genuinely excited about might have been, Roddy B? So despite it not working out he might be part of a new chapter in Dallas Basketball history.

I just got off the phone with @Dennis1SmithJr he said “he’s super happy that he’s finally with a team that wants him there.” NYK bout to be fun to watch. All that youth & cap space. Knicks fans finally should be happy about their future. Zion, KD & Kyrie.

Maybe there was more to the Rick and DSJ rift in the end. But right now this doesn't speak for him as a person. Yes, it was unfortunate that we got Luka, but imho the front office as a whole never "not wanted him" in Dallas. I hope he finds what he hopes for in NY. But tbh., if they get Kyrie over the summer and DSJ still doesn't have "his own" team, who effing cares.
