All of these pairs are 30 year old or older. The Dallas pair, when you add their ages together is just what, 45? It is very rare and very hard for teams this young to win it all. Not even OKC, with Westbrook, KD and Harden could win a championship. They had plenty of talent...way more than the 2011 Mavs. But Dirk, Jet and Kidd had a level of maturity that overcame the raw talent.
Right now, the Mavs talent is very raw. It takes some patience. Apparently the MBT decided it did not want to spend its cash and load up on the wrong players. I see the benefit in letting KP and Luka meld into a solid pair before introducing more strong personalities. Either way, its a gamble. Cuban has rolled his dice...we'll soon see how they turn up.
