Pretty much every rumor/report, reliable or not, pointed at Kemba being a Mav before Horford opted out. I suppose he could have gone to another team like the Lakers, but the rumors seemed pretty legit.
The fact that Cuban admitted Kemba was their first choice pretty well reinforces their confidence in getting him.
