Actually the Mavs made the playoffs after trading for Porzingis both seasons after previously missing them, so…. Sure, he got injured and hasn’t been the same since. That’s why it’s a gamble. Kind of like signing Julius Randle when no one else wants to take the cap space you cleared to sign Kyrie and KD. Did you seriously think it was a bad idea to trade Dennis fake sick Jr for the Unicorn when the trade went down?
