"Old school" does not mean being a dick, and I think it's a smear to quality, hard-nosed, old school coaches to attribute that characteristic to them.

While I agree with this and also grew tired of Rigid Rick. The obvious move was to let Luka run the offense. He/they tried to keep Dennis in the SLU and adjust his role. That wasn't to try to glorify Rick, just being fair to the situation.
