Only in Kidd's case Sanders walked away from basketball at a very early age. He had off the court issues but having a coach use u as a punching bag clearly didn't aid him.

Agreed, he should have taken Sanders aside and talked to him man to man. I think in his younger days he responded to the coaches that were asses....Danny Ainge, Scott Skiles, Byron Scott? Doesn't work that way any more, need to have a lot of man to man talks, develop the body as well as the mind.
