It's total hyperbole. We changed our record against winning teams from 0-4 to 1-4 by beating a good team on the second night of a B2B. We're still negative in net rating, 19th in offense and 16th in defense.
The team has potential, but they've really shown nothing (yet).
We saw Luka play MVP-level the last two seasons. We've seen some flashes from KP at being a star (although his 20-8 on 44/35% isn't amazing yet). We've seen occasional genius on both offense and defense, but we also have stretches of 4-10 minutes every game where we look as clueless as a middle school team playing the Jordan Bulls.
This team just needs to keep improving. Honestly I'd be happy to get out of the first round this year.
