Probably. But I see an advantage in it. Namely, that we will immediately be able to judge the progress of the team. I wouldn't like to coast past the Suns and Wolves, lose in the WCF, and then think everything is dandy in the off-season.

If we beat the Lakers, we're in great shape. If we lose in the firs round, at least we will probably get a serious re-evaluation over the summer of the direction the team is taking.
