This. Rebounds are damn near a turnover in the sense. On defense, it limits the second+ chances for the opposing offense and ideally lead to more fast breaks and transition. On offense, duh...extra opportunities and to a much smaller degree, limiting the other team from initiating easy offense out of uncontested rebounds (not always, but it would have an effect)
