I definitely bought into this at the beginning of the playoffs. I do not believe this anymore. Mavs have the talent to match up with anyone. Helps when you have Luka and Kyrie heading that up, followed by quite the cast that has stepped up tremendously in the playoffs.

DJJ - arguably one of the top defenders in the league
PJ - he's been a known quantity in this league and it took him some time to find his footing, but he's arrived. Consistency on offense will follow his base defense and effort
Gafford - arguably one of the best rim runners and protectors in the league, highest FG % in however long
Lively - would have been 1st team all-rookie if not for games missed
Green/Kleber/Exum/THJ/Hardy/Omax - certainly worse backend rotations out there
