The Big 3 do it because they do often get shafted, and for stars they don't get the calls other stars generally get. But...I also don't think they realize it that complaining about it won't fix it. I, for one, would much rather see Fin get pissed and dunk on someone at the other end then get pissed and try to make Mr. Joey Crawford listen to him.
