Last night was a huge disappointment mainly because the Mavs lost on what should have been their strengths. Their free throws failed them. Their rebounding advantage failed them. And, most of all their offense failed them.

If Nellie is fired after this season, it is because Cuban believes that he can't take this team any further than they have. It won't be because of this game or even this series or even this season.

Even if the Mavs win this series, they don't look strong enough to beat the top 3 teams in the West. They just don't have what it takes to win it all this year.

I love the Mavs, but they may have to find another way to get to the NBA championship than this.
