Madape "may" be a flat-taxer (and so may I) in a general sense but tax policy is a useful tool that should be used. The issue quite frankly I have with tax policy these days are that it's so regressive that too large a group of people do not fund our government. In that sense I didn't like bush's tax cuts that made the tax policy even more regressive, but it was the price he had to pay to get the across-the-board cuts. Even though it made the tax code more regressive he's still accusesd of favoring the rich so I understand it, but don't like it much.
