The Dallas 2-H Club
Through two games, the Mavericks' Josh Howard and Devin Harris have quickly become a stellar tandem for unbeaten Dallas. Howard, named to the got milk? All-Rookie Second Team after a terrific 2003-04 season, is averaging 25.5 ppg on 17-of-31 (.548) shooting to go with 11.5 rpg, leading the Mavs in both categories.
And Harris, the fifth pick in the 2004 draft, may make the team's transition to the post-Steve Nash era quite smooth indeed. The 6-3 rookie out of Wisconsin posted 21.0 ppg, 8.5 apg and 4.5 rpg in the two Dallas victories. He's also shown some quick hands in defensive passing lanes, swiping seven steals (3.50 spg).
