So basically what you are saying is that Edwards is a trial lawyer and some of the trial lawyers who have supported him received large punitive damages for their clients from juries after a trial. Wow. What a bastard.

On the other hand one of Bush's largest supporters while he was Governor of Texas was Ken Lay, CEO of Enron. The Press Secretary at the White House when asked about the connection recently said that the entire thing is being overblown, and that Ken Lay donated money to both parties. Ken Lay donated 296,000 to Bush alone as well as further monies to other republicans. He donated a total of 6,000 to all democrats. Yeah he donated money to both parties but over 97% of it went to Bush.
