I agree, obviously, that this doesn't have to be paid off immediately. I'm not suggesting Bushie had to raise taxes comensurate with the costs incurred by the war.

But to actually CUT taxes simultaneously with going to war? There's a reason it's never been done in the US before: it's fiscally irresponsible.
