The Spurs said they left a spot open for Malone, but they spent all their money on Barry, Ginobili, and the other guys they signed and resigned. I said they didn't have any more money to spend than Dallas. The Mavs would have to give him the vet. minimum and so will the Spurs.

My other point is that the Spurs have more of a logjam at PF than the Mavs.
