Default RE:For our resident anti-South/Midwest folks: Slate- A Dialogue: 'The unteachable ignorance of the red states'

Quote:
The history of the last four years shows that red state types, above all, do not what to be told what to do—they prefer to be ignorant. As a result, they are virtually unteachable.
Un @#%#% believable. This is so typical.

All of the Democrats on this board need to tar and feather these types and bring your party back to relevancy. This is the self-anointed intellectual elitism that has turned your party into a joke. "If you don't agree with our policy, you must be wrong. If you don't want to be taught of the great omnipotence of the government, then you must be ignorant. If you prefer individual sovereignty over our progressive ideas, you must be unteachable."

Just 'cause it's progressive doesn't make it better, genius.

And it's also appalling that she'd make those comments about the Bible, considering that the sort of unquestioning literal obeyance that she mocks is EXACTLY the sort of unquestioning literal obeyance that folks like her expect everyone to have with regards to the policies and decisions of the liberal intelligentsia.

The only saving grace here is that people like this continue to make asses of themselves with each passing round of elections, and hopefully, soon, they'll break off and start their own monkey party.
