Witten was playing a significant amount even when Campbell was here. You aren't seriously saying that he wasn't a major piece of the plans this year, are you?

Wiley is holding his own against the run, which appears to be all he has to offer. He often leaves the game for Ogbogu, or sometimes Thornton, on passing downs.

But yeah, this season sucks big time. Or at least, this game did. I think it goes to show you how close a lot of games really are. If things had bounced our way, we might have been 5-2 going into this game. And I guess we are still the team that has played Pittsburgh the toughest all year.

The defense had some struggles early on, but you can't pin all this on them--even with the personnel decisions in the secondary. We are just way too predictable on offense. And losing Glenn and Bryant/Morgan is huge. We just don't have any big play guys anymore. And when there is only one possible way that Vinny can hurt a defense...and when you take that away...well, we just don't have any weapons.

We will still eke out a few more wins this year, but they will have to be hard-fought contests. We won't be able to run away from anybody.

We are in desperate need of a playmaker at RB.
