no. 1s don't really mean anything in the league anymore unless you are drafting in the top 5 or 10..beyond that, 90% of the players are spares or busts

Finley was a 21st pick in the draft, Nash was a 15th pick, Kirilenko was a 24th pick. True there are a lot of busts but there are still gems out there.
