If you are willing to trade a solid contributer with a lot of upside like Daniels, you have to know exactly what you are getting back in return. As of right now, there are no plausible trades that could occur where we would know exactly what we were getting. Perhaps when further down the line, if Kidd can show that he is infact healthy and can still play at a high level, we may reach that level of certainty and pull the trigger on something. As of right now however, I would say no, Daniels is not expendable.
