Oh sure..plus the Mavs have never run as much of the offense through Dirk as the Celtics did with Bird. Part of that has to do with Dirk not being as good of a passer but most of it is due to having Steve Nash on the team.

I'm not arguing that Dirk's a better player than Bird....not at all. But, I do believe that you can put him in Bird's category. If the Mavs win a title in the next few years, there's no way that you'll be able to not put Dirk on that level.
