they've always denied it and i've always thought it was just coincidence - i mean, the lyrics make sense going forward, so it doesn't appear they pieced together random words so that in reverse there would be a satanic message. i've heard a lot of this theory got started with the drawing on the inside flap of the album - and then was accented by the fact that Jimmy Page purchased an old house of Aleister Crowley's and owns quite an extensive collection of Crowley memorabilia. Crowley claimed to identify himself with the Great Beast from the book of Revelation. from everything i've read, he was a nut job, and enjoyed being one in the public light.
