Craig James is speaking to my group right now and he had a pretty funny story about Mark Cuban and Broadcasting.com. Cuban approached James and Ross Perot Jr.'s company a few years back trying to strike a deal where AudioNet (predecessor to Broadcast.com) would use content provided by Perot Jr.'s group. They all thought Cuban was a joke, and some of the guys on the board were talking smack to him, saying he was crazy and just full of crap! Cuban offered James 10% of the company, but was declined. A few years later, when Yahoo! bought Broadcast.com for $5 billion, Cuban sent an e-mail to James rubbing it in, cuz he could have been a good $500mil richer!

For anyone who doesn't know who Craig James is, he's an ex-NFL player and current CBS sports broadcaster. Also an SMU alumn
