RE: Mavs in a no-lose situation with free agency this time
Birdman could be one of the best options to target precisely because he could be so cheap. He's not a great player, but he's young, athletic, rebounds and blocks well, and his +/- numbers were way up last year. With the limited FA resources the Mavs have at their disposal he could turn out to be a very nice value.
