At 22, foreign players automatically become eligible for the draft. Meaning that if he hadn't declared for the draft a team could (and given his potential multiple teams certainly would) take him with a second round pick. Those picks aren't worth much and if he decides he doesn't want to come to the US, the team is not out anything, but if he does want to come the team owns his rights. There is no way that Ming would have gone completely undrafted once he eligible which is the only way he could become a straight free agent (like Askrabic<sp?&gt[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
