The Spurs just played their probably 1st round opponent on Wednesday; and when up 5 in the 1st quarter, Pop pulled ALL BUT 1 STARTER. The Spurs didn't go back to anything resembling a normal rotation until the start of the 3rd quarter, at which point they were trailing by 18 points. Pop played that game like a pre-season game (when the Spurs were 1-8); no doubt taking notes about matchups, what works, what doesn't - basically giving the Spurs great film to watch for the 1st game of the playoffs, while not showing their own hand AT ALL.

Tonight the Spurs play the team they will most likely meet in the 2nd round of the playoffs...

I truly expect the Mavs to finish with the higher score.
Hey, listen. For all the talk about Pop being God's gift to coaching, he's lost four of the last six seasons when he arguably has had the best talent base in the league. I'm no so sure I'd be taking his word as gospel if I were you.
