I would say Flip would've done better, just because he has a lot more experience than Avery... And Avery would easily win 65 with the Pistons.

I'd say Flip would have done a worse job than Avery and the other way around.
With Flip the Mavs wouldn't have become such a defensive minded team, with Avery, the Pistons wouldn't have become such a good offensive team.
